Second Year Curriculum

To further emphasize outpatient medicine, a greater variety of experiences becomes available in the second year. In addition to rotations in women’s health, sports medicine, and cardiology, residents have two blocks of elective time to pursue areas of personal interest. Time in the Family Health Centers also expands, with an average of three to four sessions per week. While night call responsibilities decline, teaching duties to first-year residents and medical students increase.
