  • Family Medicine

I grew up in Cleveland Heights, OH, but headed east to New York for college. I graduated from Columbia University with a major in biology and a minor in philosophy. By the end of college, I knew I was interested broadly in how health and well-being impact peoples’ lives as well as ethics, but I wasn’t sure what to do with those interests. I was fortunate to land at a non-profit focused on elder abuse, a field at the intersection of ethics, health and medicine, law, social services, policy and so much more. After working for several years, I decided to apply to medical school and returned to Ohio to attend the University of Cincinnati. I fell in love with Family Medicine because of its commitment to the wide array of things I care about including underserved populations, advocacy, aging, caregiving, and understanding the complicated contexts of patients’ lives. Outside of medicine, I enjoy long road trips, hanging out with family, running, biking, backpacking and generally exploring, whether it’s in a city or in the woods.
