I grew up on a farm in northeast Ohio, and then moved to Columbus to attend (THE!) Ohio State, where I got my degree in psychology with a Spanish minor. I then attended Wright State University Boonshoft SOM to get my MD. I am planning to return to rural Ohio after my training, so I hope to practice true high-variety, birth to death family medicine. I also love global health and recently returned from a trip to Costa Rica!
Outside of the hospital, I love weightlifting and exploring nature through hiking. I spend a lot of time with my friends and family and am very excited to explore Pittsburgh's food and shopping scene as well. I live with my husband and our orange kitty, Oscar! During interview season, this program truly blew me away with the wonderful faculty and in-depth training it offers.
