I was born and raised in Maryland and attended the University of Virginia, where I studied commerce and economics. After graduating, I worked for a few years as a technology consultant before shifting my trajectory to medicine after working at a camp for kids with type 1 diabetes.
I completed a post-baccalaureate program at Goucher College before attending the University of Michigan Medical School, where my interests evolved from pediatrics to the full breadth of family medicine. Clinical experiences, research on social determinants of health, and caring for patients navigating barriers to access all reinforced my desire to practice comprehensive, community-centered care.
I chose St. Margaret because I immediately loved the people; the warmth, the humility, and the way everyone genuinely seemed to enjoy working together. I was also drawn to the strong inpatient training and the feel of a true community hospital, with the backing and resources of UPMC. It felt like the kind of place where I’ll be pushed to grow but also supported along the way.
Outside of medicine, you can find me, catching Pittsburgh musical theater with my partner, wandering through the Phipps, or playing board games with friends.
