Hello everyone, my name is Parita! I was born in India and moved to Scranton, PA when I was nine, where I've lived ever since. I graduated from the University of Scranton with a degree in Biology and a minor in Biochemistry, and then earned my MD from Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. This is my first time living away from home, and I'm excited to be in Pittsburgh to start this new chapter!
I was drawn to family medicine because I deeply value the long-term, trusting relationships it fosters, allowing me to care for individuals at every stage of life. My clinical interests include lifestyle medicine, women's health, and global health. Outside of medicine, I enjoy hiking, attending workout classes, trying out new vegetarian recipes, and spending time with friends and family.
