Megan Baumgartner, PharmD, BCPS, Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, Emergency Medicine, graduated from the University of Florida with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2011 and Bachelor of Science degree in 2007, majoring in Food Science and Human Nutrition. She completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 pharmacy practice residency and a PGY2 critical care specialty residency at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. During her residency, she earned a Mastery of Teaching Certificate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy and enjoys precepting both residents and student pharmacists. Dr. Baumgartner has been an interdisciplinary member of the UPMC St. Margaret Emergency Department since January 2014. She is certified in both ACLS and PALS and teaches in the quarterly UPMC Emergency Nurses Course on cardiovascular medications. Her clinical interests include critical care, infectious diseases, cardiology, anticoagulation, and medication safety.
