Jeffrey Lineman, DO

Jeff Lineman, DO, has been a faculty member at our UPMC St. Margaret Family Medicine program since 2006. He completed his undergraduate career at the University of Pittsburgh and received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2003. He went on to complete his Family Medicine residency at UPMC St. Margaret, where he received the “Best Teacher Award” in 2006. In 2009 he became the Director of Osteopathic Medicine where he continues to oversee our residencies osteopathic education, curriculum, and OMM training. His clinical practice is with UPMC Valley Family Medicine.

His professional interests include the practice of evidence-based medicine, utilizing OMM efficiently in clinical practice, Urgent Care, and Sports Medicine.

He enjoys extreme sports such as snowboarding, mountain biking, “Spartan” races and ‘Tough Mudder’ runs. He has also won many championships in our annual ‘resident versus faculty’ turkey bowl football game. For relaxation, he enjoys reading about American history and fishing in Northern Canada. He is married and loves to mountain bike and go for off-road Jeep rides with his two young adult children Brody and Maci.
