Chase Salmon MD

  • First Year Family Medicine Psychiatry Resident

It is exhilarating to be starting my career as a physician in Pittsburgh! I was born and raised in the small town of Shoals, Indiana, in the southwest part of the state. For my undergraduate education, I attended Indiana University where I majored in Psychology. Next, I attended Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) as part of their Rural Medical Education Program. During my time at IUSM, I had an academic focus on rural medical access and public health, completing a Rural Scholarly Concentration and publishing some research along the way. My medical interests include integrating behavioral and physical health within primary care, addiction medicine, and underserved healthcare.

When I am not working, I love listening to a variety of music like country, classic rock, and more! I am an avid walker/hiker and enjoy exploring the parks of Pittsburgh. If I am not doing either of those things, I am most likely gaming or chatting with my friends.

I am thrilled to not only serve this community but to truly be a part of it!
