Najya Williams MD

  • Family Medicine Resident

Hi everyone! My name is Najya (NYE-yuh) and I am a proud member of UPMC St. Margaret's FM Class of 2028. I graduated with High Honors from the Harvard College and earned my Doctor of Medicine degree with a Graduate Certificate in Narrative Medicine from The Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University.

I am devoted to the liberation and healing of all oppressed peoples, and this passion is reflected in many of my projects, service efforts, and literary works. Outside of medicine, I am an avid multidisciplinary artist, and my poetry, essays and other writings have been accepted and/or published by a number of organizations, including POETRY Magazine, Button Poetry, Black Youth Project and Healing Points.

In my free time, I enjoy cooking for loved ones, dancing, singing, spending time with my family, and playing with my forever puppies, Coco Chanel and Chance Carter. I am incredibly excited to be a part of this community and look forward to serving you and your family soon!
