I was born in Carbondale, Illinois but then spent the first five years of my life in Gujarat, India where I grew up with my grandparents. Coming back to the United States, my family moved to Kingston, Pennsylvania, and then I moved to across the state to complete my undergraduate education at the University of Pittsburgh (H2P!). I majored in Neuroscience and minored in Chemistry and Sociology as well as completed a certificate in Conceptual Foundations of Medicine. For medical school, I moved closer back to home to attend Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine where I had a chance to serve my local community. I am beyond excited to be coming back to the 412 (my second home) to complete my family medicine residency at UPMC St. Margaret.
My interests in family medicine are widespread but include women's health, addiction medicine, pediatrics, and preventative medicine. Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé, practicing yoga, attending workout classes, traveling, and cooking vegetarian meals.
