The New Kensington Family Health Center has celebrated their re-opening of a brand new clinic site. Directors and staff hosted a thank you ceremony for Joni Schwager, Executive Director of the Staunton Farm Foundation. She and the Foundation donated $250,000 to the new building, and designed the Sunshine Space. This conference room will be used for education, meetings, and community collaborations.
The Staunton Farm Foundation mission is dedicated to improving the lives of people who live with mental illness and/or substance use disorders. The Foundation works to enhance behavioral health treatment and support by advancing best practices through grant making to non-profit organizations in ten southwestern Pennsylvania counties.
Joni and the Staunton Farm Foundation have historically been generous benefactors for us in the past. Ten years ago, they funded our start up for integrated behavioral health, followed by our MAT program, and a lot of support for our social workers along the way. Their support has transformed our Family Health Centers and our residency program.
