I was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina and attended UNC- Chapel Hill for my undergraduate years, graduating with a BS in public health and nutrition. Following graduation, I attended the University of Notre Dame, where I earned a Master of Education degree and worked as a high school science teacher through a two-year faith-based service fellowship.
Returning to Chapel Hill for medical school, I completed my clinical rotations across the state, with a focus in Asheville, North Carolina as part of UNC’s longitudinal curriculum and commitment to primary care. While at UNC, I served on the student committee on accreditation and helped lead research projects focused on medical education technology and the use of exercise prescriptions in community clinics. My interests in medicine include medical education, sports medicine, behavioral health, and narrative medicine.
Beyond the hospital and clinic, I love spending time with my family, adventuring in the outdoors, watching sports, and exploring local bookshops.
