Stella Winters, MD

Stella Winters, MD was born in Monterrey, Mexico, and grew up on the US-Mexico Border of South Texas. She graduated from Baylor College of Medicine and completed her residency training at John Peter Smith Health Network in Fort Worth, TX. She obtained additional certifications in Global Health, Geriatrics, and Medical Ethics and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Winter’s clinical and research interests include medical education, inpatient medicine, point-of-care ultrasound, procedures, humanism in medicine, and caring for Hispanic underserved populations. Her outpatient clinical practice is located at the UPMC St. Margaret Lawrenceville Family Health Center.

Outside of Medicine, Dr. Winters enjoys cooking, exercising, reading, being outdoors, and most of all, spending time with her husband (a budding Ophthalmologist at UPMC) and their three young children.
