I grew up in New Providence, New Jersey in a multicultural (Ukrainian and Colombian!) household before my family moved to Cleveland, Ohio. After high school in Cleveland, I headed to Columbia University in New York City, where I got a BA in Data Science.
During two gap years, I worked as a data analyst in the Medical Physics department at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where I worked with imaging data, helped develop biomarkers, and contributed to building artificial intelligence (AI) tools.
I stayed in New York for medical school at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where I was part of their Primary Care Scholars Program. There, I developed a deep interest in caring for patients with complex medical and psychiatric needs. Through Sinai’s free clinic (EHHOP) I provided CBT therapy and medication management for underserved patients. I also conducted research at the Center for Computational Psychiatry, where I worked on developing an AI model for diagnosing personality disorders.
All of this brought me to UPMC’s combined Family Medicine & Psychiatry residency program, and I couldn’t be more excited to explore Pittsburgh and serve its communities!
Outside of medicine, I enjoy watching sports, exercising, spending time with family and friends, listening to music (I love just about everything, but I’ve been on an EDM kick lately), and gaming.
