Dr. Rich Bruehlman graduated from Jefferson Medical College then completed his family medicine residency at UPMC St. Margaret, where he served as Chief Resident. He has over 30 years of patient care and teaching experience. Dr. Bruehlman has recieved multiple teaching awards. He helped support the international development of family medicine through medical mission trips to Central Asia with "Physicians with Heart."
Professional interests include medical-legal issues and making sure all UPMC St. Margaret family medicine residents pass the ABFM certification examination. He enjoys swimming, skiing, bicycling, running, and hiking. He is also a member of the Pittsburgh Pirates Fan Council. He and his wife, Patricia McGuire, M.D. (also a faculty member) have two adult children.
