Ann McGaffey, MD grew up in the Great Northwest and all over the country and received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Oregon School of Medicine. She did 15 months of general practice in an Idaho migrant health center following a flexible internship at Good Samaritan Hospital, Portland, Oregon. She completed her residency and a one-year fellowship in family medicine at UPMC St. Margaret.
Dr. McGaffey coordinates UPMC St. Margaret's school health partnership and maintains an inner city-based private practice. Along with several St. Margaret faculty, she is the author of two books on sexuality education for pre-teenagers. She is married, has three children, and enjoys gardening and walking.
