    First Year
    • $48,880.00
    • Professional Development Fund Allowance: $1,000.00; plus USMLE Step 3 or COMLEX Step 3
    • Relocation Allowance: up to $2,500.00
    • $400 stipend to be used toward the purchase of a UPMC approved handheld electronic resource device
    • 20 days of PTO plus 5 days for Continuing Medical Education Activities
    Second Year
    • $50,564.80
    • Professional Development Fund Allowance: $1,500.00
    • 20 days of PTO plus 5 days for Continuing Medical Education Activities
    Third Year
    • $52,603.20
    • Professional Development Fund Allowance: $1,500.00
    • 20 days of PTO plus 5 days for Continuing Medical Education Activities

    • For family medicine residents, membership is paid for the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and the Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians (PAFP).
    • For osteopathic residents, membership is paid for the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP).
    • St. Margaret Credit Union available at UPMC St. Margaret, First Floor of hospital
