  • Paul Larson, MD was part of the Task Force awarded the President's Award at the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine 50th Annual Spring Conference in San Diego on Sunday May 7, 2017.  He was one of 13 who are on the Faculty for Tomorrow Task Force, which built a program to engage, encourage, support, and train future Family Medicine teachers and leaders.

  • Kudos to Dr. Mike Huijon, Family Medicine/Psych Graduate, for having his “Cochrane for Clinicians” article entitled “Effects of Altered Dietary Salt Intake in Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease” published in American Family Physician Journal.


  • We celebrated our 45th Annual Family Medicine Residency Program Reunion on Friday, March 24, 2017 with over 80 of our graduates, where we honored Paul W. Dishart, MD for over 50 years of service at UPMC St. Margaret.


  • Congratulations to Michele Hilty for being named the 2017 Coordinator of the Year award at this year's GME Coordinator Symposium!! This is the second time that she has won this award and it is very well deserved. We are very fortunate to have Michele as a part of our team!


  • The Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians (PAFP) awarded the 2017 Exemplary Teacher of the Year Award to one of our own, Dr. Rich Bruehlman. We are very honored and proud to work with such a fine Family Physician!
